窪蹋勛圖厙 honors 23 nursing students

泭
窪蹋勛圖厙 formally recognized the accomplishments of 23 nursing students during a pinning ceremony on Dec. 5 in the gymnasium on the colleges Sidney campus. The students were honored for completing their Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing (ADN), which prepares them for national licensure as a registered nurse.泭
Addisen Peterman of Edmore was chosen by her fellow classmates to address attendees during the ceremony.泭
Our cohort is truly one of a kind. We have spent the last four semesters, 55 weeks and, more than likely, two of the hardest years of our lives together and today we embark on our journeys, Peterman said. I have never met a group more empathetic, hardworking, funny, kind, and determined as the cohort right here in front of me. We all faced our battles and had hurdles to overcome throughout our journey in nursing school, but we did it together.泭
Peterman also highlighted the groups tight-knit nature and how they have been a part of each others big life milestones in the last two years.泭
On (orientation) day, the nursing faculty emphasized, Look around the room for a moment. These are going to become your people, Peterman recalled. These are faces to remember and become familiar with. They will relate to you more than anyone, so confide in them and make friends. And boy, were they ever right. These are the people who weve shared some of the most personal things with, the people who have seen us at highs and lows, the people who weve shared many life milestones with and, most importantly, the people who weve created some of the best memories with.泭
Peterman closed the ceremony by encouraging her nursing cohort to stay connected and not to forget each other and the bond they had created.泭
Looking back on all of this, during our time in the program it felt like forever, but today, its here, Peterman said. Its time to say farewell. It truly was a pleasure to be alongside every one of you. As we leave here today, I urge all of you to keep in contact and update about your careers and lives. Thank you again to every single person in this room tonight who came to support us today. I am so proud of all of us, we did it, we made it.泭
